JUNTO (Spanish, Portuguese): ‘Together’
Grenache (78%), Mataro (12%), Shiraz (10%).
A Southern Rhone style blend that is intended to be unpretentious and an easy to drink, bistro style. The Grenache leads the blend with its pretty red fruits and perfume, and the other varieties help to 'complete' the wine, elevating it to a more complex and balanced place. The Mataro gives savoury spice and structure, and the Shiraz adds juicy flesh. The wine is aged entirely in old French oak hogsheads to allow gentle micro-oxygenation without contributing any overt oak flavour.

"This is such a joyful wine, year in, year out. Here again, the pleasure resides. Popping with red berries, cherries, cranberry, musk, rose and a dukkah-like toasted nut and spice note, if that’s not too much of a stretch. It’s lithe, textured with silky ribbons of fruit marshalled by finely tooled grip. There’s nothing from this address that isn’t top drawer, regardless of style, and this is such a pure delight." - Marcus Ellis
